THEMATIC PARK – ETHNOLAND DALMATI

The Dalmati Ethnoland is the first thematic park of it’s kind in Croatia. We opened our doors to visitors in the middle of May 2007. It’s located in Middle dalmatia, just 10 minutes from the Krka National Park, precisely in Pakovo selo (15km from the city of Šibenik). At a surface of 15 000 square meters and with the capacity of 650 guests (summer restaurant 500 persons, winter restaurant 150 persons) we offer to our visitors to experience the real life of ancient Dalmatian Zagora; through tradition, costumes, way of life, socializing with this region which makes this park unique.

The complex consists of an old Dalmatian household, a stall, old crafts workshop, a unique space for plays, a restaurant, a small bazaar and a souvenir shop. The thematic guided tour begins with the visit to the old Dalmatian house (also an ethno-museum) which in it’s content has got a tavern with wine kegs, and all the necessary tools and equipment for making wine. A representation of an old dormitory, a weving table, dining room a “black kitchen” are located on the groundfloor, while on the upper floor we have a place for drying ham and meat.

The ethnoland has it’s own groves of spices and vegetables, a place for live stock (sheep, goats, chikens, donkeys).In the old crafts workshop, the visitor have the chance to get knowledge of artisan works as, carpentry, weving, carving and gravings in stone, which lively demonstrates how people lived in this churlish stone covered land. The ethnoland has got in it’s offer a unique place for plays (quite an arena) where visitors are to experience the charms of the local story telling. Here we represent through songs and dances how people had fun in the old days. We present a small Dalmatian bazaar where our visitors can buy original products from the region.

With the existing offer of guided visits to the village, lunches, dinners and folklore plays we are a perfect destination for team building programs, promotions, weddings and all other grouped visits. We invite you to come as our visitors/guests and to leave as friends.
